Description

The City of Hillsboro (“City”) seeks written proposals from qualified vendors able to provide CM/GC services for construction of a new 11 acre inclusive park. The park will feature custom playground equipment designed and supplied by Earthscape. The City intends to award a single contract as a result of this RFP. The contract term for this Project will be approximately 18 months, or until park is constructed and permits are closed.  The project has an estimated total construction cost of $10,500,000. Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) Prevailing Wage Rate requirements will apply on early work or construction performed as part of this project It is a Hillsboro priority to enhance local economic opportunities for minority-owned businesses and other disadvantaged businesses. Minority, women, veteran and other small and local businesses are encouraged to propose. Proposals featuring partnerships between larger and smaller firms and majority/minority and/or small businesses are encouraged. The park site is immediately south of Hidden Creek Community Center. We have received our Conditional Use Permit, and are in the process of applying for our Development Review Permit. We anticipate submitting for Construction Permits in January 2022, with construction slated to begin in late May of 2022. 53rd Avenue Park West will be an inclusive park and playground for all, which means it will be designed for people of all ages, all abilities, all backgrounds, and all orientations that connect, create, and strengthen the Hillsboro community.
