Description

The City of Hillsboro is constructing a fiber to the premise network within southwest Hillsboro. This Hillsboro Shute Park Phase 1 and Meadow Oaks solicitation is the second in a series of bid opportunities the City will be issuing for fiber construction and installation. Construction of this network will consist of underground installation utilizing GPON architecture and will not include drop installation to the premise. The Contractor will be responsible for material procurement and storage, labor and all aspects of network infrastructure to include, but not limited to, the installation of fiber, splice closures, cabinets, fiber splicing, testing, inspections, safety and restoration. There is no pre-qualification process for this ITB.  There will be no pre-bid conference. Late bids will be rejected as non-responsive. This ITB is for construction of a Public Work subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 (prevailing wage law) it requires Contractor payment of BOLI Prevailing Wages at the Prevailing Wage Rate schedule effective July 1, 2019 and October 1, 2019 amendments and requires Contractor compliance with all applicable prevailing wage requirements, including reporting and Public Works Bond. Sealed bids will be received by Elaine Baker at: 150 E Main Street, 5th Floor Reception, Hillsboro, OR 97123. A public bid opening will be held the City of Hillsboro Civic Center, 5th Floor Reception, at 2:10 pm on the day bids are due.
