Description

Metro, acting by and through the appointed Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission (MERC), is inviting bids for Cascade Crest HVAC Upgrade for the Oregon Zoo.

The principal scope of work is to replace two roof top units that have been operating past their useful life. Two new split system heat pump units are schedule to support use of each respective space not previously optimized. The Zoo recently replaced the campus Building Automation System to Delta Controls. As part of this HVAC upgrade the building controller shall also be upgraded.

Pre-Bid Conference

A voluntary Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for all potential prime and sub-contractors on June 4, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. at the Oregon Zoo, 4001 SW Canyon Rd, Portland, OR 97221. Meet at main entry gate. Per Metro’s Subcontractor Equity Program, Contractors that submit a bid for this project must solicit a sub-bid from ALL COBID certified businesses who attend the pre-bid conference.

An optional second viewing of the work site is scheduled for all potential prime and sub-contractors on June 11, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Oregon Zoo, 4001 SW Canyon Rd, Portland, OR 97221. No project details will be shared at this meeting. Any questions will be responded to in a bid addendum following the meeting. Attendees will be recorded so that any COBID certified business that attend can be reached by Contractors who submit a bid.
