Description

The City of Philadelphia (City) currently uses two Northrop Grumman computer aided dispatch (CAD) solutions to document emergency calls for service and dispatch emergency resources – Command Point (police) and Cobalt (fire). The City intends to procure new CAD and mobile data system (MDS) software for its emergency communications and fire and police services in the field. The City requires a single, unified CAD solution for both police and fire emergency communications for processing of calls for service and subsequent dispatch. The CAD solution must have an accompanying MDS platform that can be configured to work for police and fire services on in-vehicle mobile computers and, potentially, mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones. Following the extensive evaluation process, the City has determined that the vCAD and vMDT software platforms offered by Versaterm, Inc. ("Versaterm") is best suited to meet City requirements for a CAD/MDS platform. This Request for Proposal is to procure the software and services required to deploy the Versaterm CAD/MDS solution from project kickoff to project closeout followed by maintenance and support services.
