Description

The Philadelphia Water Department's Bureau of Laboratory Services (PWD-BLS) requests proposals for testing of water, wastewater, treatment residuals and solids (and other related media) for PCBs and PCB congeners according to EPA Method 1668, Revision A or the latest version of the approved method. All laboratory analyses must meet Delaware River Basin Commission requirements for polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) analyses (https://www.state.nj.us/drbc/quality/toxics/pcb-monitoring.html); laboratories must be able to analyze for the 209 PCB congeners. (Although not a requirement of the project, the proposal is strengthened if the responding laboratory also has capability to perform PCB Homolog analysis by EPA Method 680, and the necessary accreditation for reporting these results in Pennsylvania.) This contract may not be sub-divided among subcontract laboratories. PWD reserves the right to make an onsite visit prior to selecting the contract lab's proposal, in order to verify the information that was provided in the proposal.
