Description
Make the World Better Foundation (MTWB) was selected as the Project User for Vare Recreation Center through the Rebuild First Round project selection process. The Vare Recreation Center site includes a 100+ year old recreation building, pool, sports field, two basketball courts, two ball fields, and a playground. The site’s existing Rec building has a computer lab, teen center, arcade, fitness room, and two gymnasiums for basketball and gymnastics. Due to structural instability, its second floor has been shut down, limiting the programs available at the site. Presumed site renovations includes new ~20,000 SF Rec Building, new sports fields, play space and other site amenities.
